This app brings the Death Valley National Park Recreation Map from Tom Harrison Maps to your iPhone or iPod Touch. The map covers the entire park, as well as parts of the Inyo and El Paso Mountains. All map data is stored within the application, so it's usable when not connected to the internet.

The map has 200-foot contours and shows peaks, valleys, springs, campgrounds, paved and unpaved roads, ranger stations, ghost towns, and other points of interest.

The map is integrated with the iPhone's GPS (though iPhone GPS performance is unreliable in some remote areas), and includes tools for measuring distances and marking locations and bearings to landmarks. The interface is fast and smooth, so you don't have to wait for map data to redraw when scrolling.
