These wildflower images have been selected from previously released Hartman Multimedia cd-roms (California Wildflowers, Sierra Nevada Wildflowers, Death Valley Wildflowers, Joshua Tree National Park Wildflowers, and Anza-Borrego Wildflowers); look for iPhone applications for these regions coming soon!

Use the Index and Search functions to look up plants by scientific and common names (and synonyms). Look up plants by family, by flower color, by geographic area,, and by habitat type. Further information about geographic areas and habitat types are included.

There are over 100 wildflower species shown from each of the eight geographic areas, most with over 200. (Sierra Nevada - 322; Southwestern California - 253; Central Western California - 215 Northwestern California - 211; Desert Province - 146; Cascade Ranges - 176; Great Basin Province - 123; and Great Central Valley - 116).
