Word Associations: Advanced is an educational app to teach language skills to all children, but particularly to those with developmental delays. Sometimes, it’s difficult for children to understand how two non-identical objects can be linked conceptually. This app will require the learner to identify the categorical, functional, and physical links between two items.

Children will be asked to identify how two non-identical objects relate to one other first by category, then by feature and function. Examples: How do a bird and a dog go together? They are both animals. How do a bird and a chicken go together? They both have wings.

This app will track your child’s progress and isolate the associations that your child struggles with. These associations will be sent to an additional practice feature. This app is also capable of tracking the data of multiple children, without overlapping their data.

This app will be a valuable resource for IEP meetings, conferences, and team meetings.

Once all of the associations are mastered, the app will explain how you can generalize word associations into the child’s natural environment.
