GuideYou allows you to search for walking/cycling routes near you.
It gives you access to over 150,000 free routes from the RouteYou community web site. (Routes that you have marked as private on the RouteYou site are not supported though)
You can download the routes that you like to a My routes folder and from there a blue dot guides you (hence the name) along the route.
Note: continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
