Application Description
gtgRTS (Real Time Seas)
One of the most advanced real-time measurement tools available to the recreational boater, gtgRTS was designed for the iPhone to measure six different vessel motion inputs in real time. Much like an aircraft measures it’s motion along three dimensions in space as well as speed and direction, g2gRTS measures pitch, roll, yaw, speed, and direction. But, it also adds g2g’s new proprietary measure called Wave Impact, WVi.
WVi measures the force at which your boat decelerates as it moves downward into a wave. The impact between your boat and the on coming waves is measured on a scale of 0-5, using WVi. The harder your boat hits a wave the higher the WVi reading.
In addition to the real time graphical view, the Table view records these measures in real time, displays averages over 5, 15, 30 minutes, total trip length, and shows the highest value over the course of a single trip.
To obtain the most accurate readings - The phone should be place in fixed position for the measurement time period you choose or length of your trip.
