Explore the world around you through your phone's camera, with “World Around Me” (WAM).
Just point your phone’s camera in any direction and discover places of interest like restaurants, bars & pubs, movie theaters, gas stations, banks or pharmacies in that direction. WAM shows information about places in your vicinity in a seamless and highly intuitive way.
WAM presents these places in an Augmented Reality view with billboards floating in the direction of the place, along with their ratings and distance from the user.

Tapping on a billboard leads to a detailed description of the place along with useful links, contact number, address, user reviews and directions to that place. You can easily make a phone call or see their website from WAM.

WAM allows you to discover all the places around you in an extremely simple yet useful way. It lets you explore your environment in fun and highly useful ways that save you time, and let you focus on the things you'd rather do than have to worry about maps and navigation.

It also provides the traditional options of list and map views for dense information that is more amenable to such navigation.

In the app's 'settings' you can change the number of places-of-interest displayed on screen from 20 (default) to 40. You can also customise the search distance to explore places which are further away, but have higher user reviews.

Note: To get accurate locations it is preferable to be outdoors, under the sky, with active GPS settings. All the places information is sourced from 'Google Places'.
