This is the free version of WAM
Explore the world around you through your phone's camera, with “World Around Me” (WAM), a location based Augmented Reality app that simplifies places search worldwide with visualization.
WAM allows you to look for restaurants, banks, bars & pubs, cafes, clothing stores, doctors, gas stations, grocery stores, hotels, movie theaters, museums, parks, pharmacies and subway/metro stations with just one tap.
With the new WAM, you can also search local places for "Thai food", “atm”, "pizza", "car rental", "gift shop". If you are looking for something specific or anything that comes to your mind then “Just WAM It”.
It shows all the local information about places in your vicinity in a seamless and highly intuitive way. Just point your phone in any direction and discover all the places of interest in that direction.
WAM presents these places in an Augmented Reality(AR) view with billboards floating in the direction of the place, along with their ratings and distance from the user. Tapping on a billboard leads to a detailed description of the place along with useful links, contact number, address, user reviews and directions to that place.
Searching for places to eat? Just tap on Restaurants or search for the cuisine to find all the restaurants nearby. You can easily make a phone call to get a reservation at a restaurant or bar or check the website to get the latest information about the movies playing in the theaters. Ever worry about running out of fuel or cash? Not anymore! Find the nearest Gas Station or Bank in seconds with WAM.
Select a category of places or type in to search for anything you need to find out around you - or as we say “Just WAM It”.In addition to the augmented reality view, it also provides the traditional options of list and map views for dense information that is more amenable to such navigation.
