Application Description
ShoutOutz 2.0 has been completely redesigned from the ground up...
We have made everything with the user in mind. Creating reusable text messages and sending location information has never been easier. Want to add a bunch of people to your message? No more going back and forth to select your contacts. Go to our custom contact table and select as many contacts as you want from your library, never leaving the same view.
With the new ShoutOutz view, you can now quickly send a custom text message to one, or as many people as you want, with your current or surrounding locations provided as a link. If you like it, save it.
Yes, SAVE IT. If you like the message you sent, save it for future use. All your contacts and the message used will be saved into your “My Shoutz” tab. Have a favorite place; your home, a restaurant, a baseball field, etc...save it too. The next time you create a message, or use a saved Shout, you can access your places from your “My Places” tab. Shout it and you’ve sent your work colleague, a friend, or family member a map link that will bring them right to you. SHOUTOUTZ...Text it, Send it, Save it...Simple...Easy...Smart.
Some Important Features Include:
- Instagram Button: Using the same method this popular app implemented, we use the pop-out button for initiating a Text/Shout no matter what view you are on.
- Places Around You: Taking some unique map features used by Facebook and other social apps, we designed tables and map views to help you choose what places you want to add to a Text/Shout.
- Apple's Messages App: We're all familiar with the Message interface for creating new messages. We rebuilt it and added our own flare. Map and table access have been added to improve map link forwarding.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IOS5 and later automatically turn on MMS Messaging. Go to Settings, Messaging, MMS Messaging and turn it off. This ensures greater than 10 contact can receive and reply to messages sent from Shout Outz.
LIMITATIONS: SHOUT OUTZ IS LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING CONSTRAINTS.
• Some companies and network plans limit group texting capabilities. If you have several people setup in a Shout contact list, you must confirm they can receive group messages. If they cannot, they should be removed from your the Shout. Please test your Shoutz once your contacts have been added.
• Your mobile phone uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to pinpoint your current location. This location is captured and posted into a text message and then transmitted to recipients in your contacts list. Accuracy is limited to the Global Positioning System’s (GPS) capability.
• Data plans are the responsibility of the devices owner. If data plans have limitations or become terminated as result of non-payment or other factors, Text-Alert will become inactive.
