About the Author
Kimiya Masago
Emaki (picture scroll) artist. Born in 1960 in Okayama Prefecture, He graduated with a degree in Physics from Chuo University, Department of Science and Technology. While enrolled at the university he studied under the cartoonist Buichi Terasawa. Later, after serving as the manager of Terasawa’s Production Department, he began to pursue his career as an independent artist. He is the acknowledged leader in his field and a representative exponent of contemporary historical warlord illustration. His creative activities have also expanded beyond two-dimensional illustration to embrace three-dimensional design, as when he was placed in charge of costume design for the movie PROMIS – Mukyoku and of visual concept design for the movie Dororo.
