It is estimated in United States, 1 in 5 medications are served wrongly. Common sources of medication error attributed by nurses are not adhering to the 5 rights of drug administration.

The most common medication error is improper dose. To address this issue, M.Cal is a medical calculator app that provides quick and easy access to common medical calculations which are difficult to memorize and perform.

It consists of over 60 formulas, categorized by specialties e.g. Cardiac, General, Respiratory etc. For each formula, there are corresponding input fields, custom keyboard with provision for different units and information/reference text.

Users are able to browse and search through the formulas by category, alphabetical listing, bookmarked formulas and recently viewed formulas.
