Application Description
Turn your iPhone or iPod touch (5th Gen +) into a UPC/EAN barcode scanner for your business. Collect data using several modes and export it as CSV file. Send the data to your computer via email or Dropbox.
Different capture modes: EAN/UPC Capture, Inventory, Order, Stock location
‣ EAN/UPC Capture is a simple non-stop capture method for barcodes. This method was conceived to record large amounts of EANs or UPCs.
‣ Inventory simplifies the data collection of your items during an inventory. Scan the barcode of the item, enter the amount (pieces or packaging units) in stock and repeat. During the entry you can also place markers which can be used as reminders (to check something after the inventory) or to separate subsections. You can also specify inventory teams and inventory sections if you are working with multiple devices.
‣ Order is a mode where you scan the item barcode and then type in the desired amount - by piece or unit.
‣ Stock location offers two different possibilities. In the first mode, you record the stock location for each item separately. First type in the stock location and then scan an item. In the second mode you can record items which have the same stock location. Again you first type the stock location but this time you can scan as many items as are located at this stock location.
Flexible export:
The data you collect is collected separately from one another - this means you can't mix up your order and inventory. Data is exported as a CSV file - either you send it as an attachment via email or you place it in your Dropbox. In the options you can set the format of your CSV file to meet your software’s requirements.
Lots of options:
You can customize DataScan through many different options. Some of these are: standard email address, CSV delimiters, date format, time format, file encoding, file ending, export sorting, automatic deletion or the linking to your Dropbox.
