Compare Contrast Connect (C3) is an app designed by teachers for teachers and students. It combines close reading, annotation, comparing and contrasting, deeper thinking, and synthesis. Any copied text can be pasted into C3 for in-depth analysis and with a few easy steps, a teacher has a lesson that both challenges students with rigor and relies on proven, tested strategies for literacy.

There are four stages to C3:

HIGHLIGHT Stage
The Highlight Stage allows the student to read and highlight the two texts. Here they must highlight a Compare section and Contrast section for each text.

ORGANIZE Stage
The Organize stage uses the highlighted texts from the exercise so the student can organize and annotate for importance and translation. They must move and prioritize the texts for importance. They can also add notes to each text for further explanation.

OBJECTIVE STAGE
The Objective stage is for deeper understanding questions. Add a discussion question here for paragraph or short answer

THESIS Stage
The Thesis stage is for an extended answer in essay form. You can choose to add a PDF rubric or instructions.

You can choose any or all stages to use. It's really four apps in one.
