Application Description
Auto Track GPS - GPS Enabled Car Alarm and Tracking
Do you ever have to leave an iOS device in the car unattended?
Auto Track GPS can turn your iPad or iPhone into a car alarm that will send you an email or text message when triggered.
Introduction - Auto Track GPS is a motion and/or sound based alarm that, when triggered, will send an email or text notification with a map link to the devices current location. Configuration options allow you to set vehicle entry exit delay, vehicle entry delay, time between email/text alerts, and the number of email/text alerts.
Auto Track GPS is designed to work between two iOS devices and requires 3G network connectivity to send emails and text messages. If you have to leave one device such as an iPad in your vehicle while you are away from your car you can use Auto Track GPS to notify you if someone tampers with your vehicle.
Features:
* Access setup and control by selecting the desired tab at the bottom of the screen. Once configured the app can be controlled from the simple to use Main screen.
* Send text messages by using your cellular carriers dedicated message address. See "Sending Text Messages" below.
* Send a Internet web link via email or text that will open a map and show the current location of the triggered device.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
POWER USE - Motion detection requires the device remain on and not be allowed to sleep for continuous access to the accelerometer. This can place a large drain on the battery if activated for a long period of time. It is recommended that you keep your device plugged into an active power source during operation.
TEXT MESSAGE USE - Auto Track GPS uses email to send text messages if configured to send text messages as described below. Your network carrier may impose charges for text messaging on the device receiving the text messages. Please be aware of your service plan.

Alarm Active - Turns alarm on and off. A green indicator indicates current status. When activated the green indicator will flash during the vehicle exit delay.
Send Text - Turn on the optional text message alert.
Vibration Trigger Detected - A red indicator that flashes when motion over the configured trigger level is detected.
Audio Trigger Detected - A red indicator that flashes when sound over the configured trigger level is detected.

Audio Detect (graph) - Plots the current audio input level and provides a slider to adjust the trigger threshold. Audio is filtered to eliminate normal background noise.
Vibration Detect (graph) - Plots the current vibration level and provides a slider to adjust the trigger threshold.
************* Setup Tab
This tab allows you to set key alarm parameters. Once you have set and tested these parameters you should not have to adjust frequently.
Start Delay (vehicle exit delay) - This slider adjust the Start Delay. Consider this the vehicle exit delay.
Alarm Delay (vehicle entry delay) - This slider adjust the Alarm Delay. Consider this the vehicle entry delay.
Alarm Duration - This slider adjust the duration of the alarm after it sounds.
Email Repeat Duration - This slider sets the time between email/text alerts are sent.
Email Repeats - This slider sets the number of emails (or optional text messages) that will be sent

This tab allows you to configure email server parameters. This is separate from the settings you configured for your iOS devices normal email app. In order to be able to send unattended emails a separate SMTP configuration is required. You can use the same email server you configured for your normal email app or use another email server. There are several web sites that provide free email accounts. NOTE: your ISP or cellular carrier may impose a charge for each email or text message sent. Check with your carrier on related charges.
