Art Rays is a second generation ray tracing app from Craig Lindley and Clockwork Software meant specifically for the iPad/iPad2. PERFORMANCE

A lot of time has been spent on Art Rays to increase performance. How long it takes Art Rays to create an image depends upon the content of the image (how many shapes, light sources and textures) and the positions of the objects within the scene. Most images render quickly but some take considerably longer. There are literally millions of calculations being performed for each image and that takes time. We know Art Rays will be criticized by some for the time it takes to produce images in our instant gratification world. Just remember, some good things take time and are worth waiting for.
