‘Foreign figure’ is one of the marvelous pages of the Yervand Otyan’s satire. It is one of the 7 novels of 'the revolution of parasites'. The series with its ideological content and satirical value was a new word in Armenian Literature of 19th century. Both the heroes of the series and of the first piece 'Foreign figure' are parasites, abusers of the revolutionary movement, who present themselves as "patriots" and "nation's heroes". They discredit every idea speaking in the name of it but acting for their own benefit. ‘Foreign figure' as well as the other pieces of the series is a documentary. The author is a participant of the actions and tells in a satirical way about the disguised 'figures' their funny and harmful egoistic actions.
