Do you want to challenge your perceptions and expand your knowledge of the world? Quiz yourself anytime, anywhere, with World Trivia! It's a simple, efficient app that you can utilize anyplace, anytime!
World Trivia is essentially a quiz of randomly generated questions, testing the user on a wide variety of world topics.
It contains over 170 researched questions, that will only grow as future updates are added. These questions focus on recent political, economic, and social events and issues. They do not deal with frivolous facts. Instead, they are designed to help us gain a better understanding of our world and recognize differing viewpoints better. Obviously, the questions themselves do not paint a complete picture; they serve as an impetus so that hopefully, the user will be inspired to do further research on the topic.
The purpose of World Trivia is to promote awareness of ongoing world issues from all aspects of life, from war to poverty to disease. Many of these issues have more than one side, and I try to explore these often opposing viewpoints, allowing the user to see the perspective from all angles. Hopefully, World Trivia will allow the user to open up his or her perspectives of the world. At the very least, it serves as a useful, informative tool.
It is designed in the most convenient manner possible. There are only two main buttons, New Question and Review. Simply press a button and you will be able to test yourself from the database of questions.
Each question has 4 different choices, and a description of the right answer. Questions answered correctly more than once are relegated to the Review section. This state will persist throughout future updates, so that the user will not have to answer the same questions over again.
In future updates I also plan to add other elements of interactivity, such as a "goodies" store and a jeopardy-game-style interface. Furthermore, I am planning on adding a form that enables users to submit questions of their own, so that everyone is able to contribute his or her knowledge to the project.
