Words With Fish includes suitable difficulty levels for children of 4-12 years of age, as well as older players. Difficulty can be freely adjusted from very easy to very challenging, depending on the age and skills of the player.

In the easiest mode, the player gets to form short words (2-4 letters) by collecting letters floating in the sea as starfish by controlling the fish with easy-to-use and intuitive touch joystick on the screen. Letters can be collected in whatever order and there is no penalty for selecting a wrong word in the easiest mode.

When the difficulty is increased (adjustedable in Settings), the length of words increases, the letters may need to be collected in the logical order and the speed gets higher. In the most challenging modes, aimed at the most skilled players and anyone above 12 years of age, the player needs to find the right letters within the given time.

Before the game begins for the first time (and later in settings), you can freely adjust the difficulty through a slider bar to make the game perfect for you or your child.

The game keeps track of personal best results per each difficulty level.
