Application Description
Want to boost your child’s reading and spelling ability? Allow the Word Ninjas to help! Designed by a teacher, Word Ninjas: HF provides a fun and exciting way for children to learn the 300 important high and medium frequency words.
The game allows for multiple user profiles and so is ideal for classroom use as well as individual home use. The game is aimed at children between the ages of 6-11.
Four fun games and a Master Quiz help embed spelling, sound and word recognition of the high and medium frequency words. The words are separated into lists of 10 words, which are selected as a focus for the games. Children learn and practice these words through playing and finally demonstrate what they have learned by taking the Master Quiz.
As they play, children accumulate ninja stars and after collecting 20 they can use their ninja stars to play the bonus game. The bonus game is fast-paced and uses the device’s motion sensors to play. The top three scores are recorded on the score board and children can challenge themselves to get into the top 3!
