The communities we live in are comprised of the stories that we tell ourselves and others about what these places are and how they came to be. This also includes stories about the natural world and its many intersections with our everyday lives. These stories can be told in the form of oral histories, written texts, pictures, audio, or video of places that inspire us or capture our interest.

The Wisconsin Geotools Explorer app is part of a suite of tools that allows coastal community members to visit field sites and record observations in the form of photos, video, audio clips, or journal entries.
