This App is for practice of the musical whistling,
especially, designed for long-tone and/or crescendo - decrescendo practice.
It displays duration time and pitches by graph format.
Only the range of whistling (A4 - F8) is available.
It is adjusted for whistling but you may use another instrument if it matches the range of the instrument.

[Outline]

- Note pitches is displayed in upper area and volume displayed on bottom area.
- The pitch of the first note will become the standard pitch. High pitch note is displayed in upper part and lower pitch note is displayed on bottom part.
- High volume note is displayed in upper part and low volume note is displayed on bottom part.
- Duration time is displayed in the center and it is reset after no sound input over 1 second.
- Vertical line appear every 7 seconds.
- The switch of "MIC GAIN LOW" on the left side is setting of mic input level. If you are in noisy place, you can turn it ON.

[Practice method – long-tone (e.g.)]

- Breath deeply and whistle on middle volume as long as you can. Usually, whistled without vibrato for this practice.
- First, choose a pitch which is easy to whistle, and then you should try high and low pitches.
- Target to keep 7 seconds, after aiming try 14 seconds and 21 seconds gradually.
- Don't whistle straight to iOS device microphone. It is better to whistle a bit off direction.
- You should try to keep the same pitch and the same volume as much as you can. Keep the graph shape straight vertical.
- You should avoid to whistle hoarse, breaking and vibration.

[Practice method – crescendo / decrescendo (e.g.)]

- Breath deeply and start to whistle pianissimo and then crescendo until forte smoothly.
- And then decrescendo smoothly.
- You should whistle the volume range wider and keeping on same pitch as much as you can.
- You should whistle the pitch graph (upper part) straight vertical line.
- You should whistle to become the volume graph (bottom part) up and down smoothly.
- Next, You can try to whistle crescendo - decrescendo repeatedly for several times in one breath.
