Wheathampstead Cricket Club was formed in 1824 and currently have four adult teams; three league teams in the Herts Saracens Leagues (Div 3, 7 & 14) and a friendly team who play on Sundays. The club also offers an expanding Colts section and we will be running four age groups: Under 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s during the 2012 season.
We are fully committed to providing the best facilities for both players and spectators to enjoy. Following the arson attack in 2007, we now boast a newly refurbished pavilion, a brand new square, new (top of the range) outdoor artificial nets and a new professional BOLA bowling machine. WCC really is a club on the up and we now have some of the best cricket facilites in the county.
We are always on the look out for new players and all ages and standards are welcome. If you would like to come along just send us an email, we look forward to hearing from you! Help us to keep alive the tradition of village cricket in Wheathampstead which stretches back to 1824.
