Application Description
Sensor based nitrogen rate calculator for winter wheat. Active normalized difference vegetative index (NDVI) sensors are highly accurate in predicting plant biomass. By utilizing biomass produced per day, yield levels of cereal crops can be predicted. By using the predicted yield level, accurate N rates can then be determined from the mid-season NDVI readings
