Application Description

You can save the sweet little red-eyed tree frogs from the snakes and falling vines! In this addictive game, you "whack" vines that grow from all sides of the brick wall for points. Snakes coming from all directions will make your job harder, so your mission is to slash these evil snakes and gain bonus points. All the while, colorful, sweet little red-eyed tree frogs will jump from vine to vine, trying to get across to the other side of the wall safely. But be careful! If you whack a vine while a frog is on it, or if you whack the frog, the poor little frog will die with a blood curdling scream. When frogs make it safely to the other side, you'll regain a life.

Note that vines show their intelligence, as they will pause growing if a frog is about to hop on, and will wait while the frog prepares to hop to the next vine once it appears.

*** Back-story ***
Vines befriended the red-eyed tree frogs centuries ago, when the frogs proved their worth by eating nasty insects before they got the chance to eat the vines. In a treaty agreed upon between the vines and the frogs long ago, the vines swore to protect the frogs in passage across castle walls, and anywhere else the vines chose to grow. It is said that the insects will return sometime soon, planning a new attack upon the vines. The frogs are prepared to uphold their promise to protect the vines once the insects return. But not all insects are a danger to the vines. The prophecies foretell the return of the butterflies as well. The frogs will want to avoid harming the butterflies. But before escaping from their cocoon, as caterpillars, they could bring harm to the vines as well.

As "Royal Weed Whacker", you are tasked with whacking the vines. Humans are attempting to rid the kingdom of vines, as they damage the sacred castle walls that protect the kingdom from enemy attacks. But humans also love the sweet little red-eyed tree frogs. Since killing frogs is punishable by death, you must avoid harming them while you destroy the vines. At the same time, you are tasked with destroying the poisonous snakes that threaten the kingdom as well. If you protect the kingdom well, you may one day be knighted.
