We have developed this app to help you manage your electricity use during the hot months so that together we can beat the peak.

The term 'peak demand' refers to the times of day when electricity consumption is at its highest.

Perth’s annual peak demand occurs during the prolonged heat waves of summer, usually between 4pm and 8pm, when most people arrive home and switch on their air conditioners, TVs, lights and other household appliances. (Air conditioners actually account for nearly a third of the power consumed on the hottest days of January, February and March.)

Saving electricity during the peak demand period is beneficial to the community and the electricity system.
By working together as a community to reduce our electricity use, particularly during peak periods, we can help to ensure a reliable and affordable supply for everyone.
