Customize the web!

WebMechanic is a simple web browser that puts control over your browsing experience squarely in your hands. It is inspired by Greasemonkey, one of the most popular extensions for desktop browsers. Like Greasemonkey, it lets you install user scripts written in JavaScript that change the way a web page displays or behaves.

For example, with WebMechanic you can:

* Change the font size of a web page.

* Automatically turn URLs in a web page into hyperlinks.

* Rearrange the contents of a page to better suit your requirements.

* Create a "mashup" that combines contents from two different web sites.

There are hundreds of user scripts available for Greasemonkey at userscripts.org. Many of these can be adapted to run on iOS devices using WebMechanic. We have adapted a few scripts as examples. We welcome submissions from the community to expand this small library. Scripts can be specific to a given website (e.g. to remove a sticky header) or can work anywhere (e.g. increase the size of the text font on any website).
