Application Description
Weblock allows you to block certain types of online content, like mobile ads, statistics, tracking, javascript or images. It also allows you to block specific services, like facebook or twitter, and define your own content filters. With Weblock you can basicly block any remote resource you want!
Weblock has a constantly growing and updated list of predefined filters you can choose from and allows you to create your own locks.
Weblock will work on any Wi-Fi enabled iOS device, including iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Your unique configuration link will be sent to all your iOS devices using iCloud.
Here are some situations in which Weblock might come in handy:
• disable those annoying ads (text and banners) in almost every app you use! (yes, it works even with YouTube or Pandora!)
• disable majority of ads on websites you visit on your iOS device! It doesn't matter which browser app you use! Weblock works with Safari, Chrome or any other browser.
• if you don't want to see all the facebook widgets and plugins (like buttons, comments, etc.) on sites you visit - simply disable facebook in Weblock!
• take control of the way your friends and family use their connection - you can configure any device to use your Weblock settings and disable/enable any content, any time, right from your own device.
• if you wish to block something else, you can create your own rules and filters. You can block any URL (with regular expressions), domain or IP address. Don't know how? Contact us and we will be happy to help you out!
Unlike other content filtering products out there, Weblock DOES NOT act as a proxy server for all your traffic, so your connection stays direct, fast and secure!
Due to system limitations Weblock works only while you are connected to Wi-Fi networks. Data plan connections (GPRS/Edge/3G/LTE) are not supported.
