WebcamControl Lite
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
*** This is the free version of our app "WebcamControl". You can use it to check whether your camera is compatible with our app. ***
Control your web camera with this app. You can view the actual still image from the camera, or get an MJPEG video, if your camera supports it.
You can switch your camera's event notification on and off, virtually allowing you to use the camera as a comfortable alarm system (if you configure motion detection within your camera).
The free version does not support encrypted communications over SLL with your camera, and it does not support push notifications when an alarm is triggered.
In the full version, when an event is triggered, a push notification can be sent to your device (optionally). You can also have sent a notification from one camera to multiple devices running this app.
For enhanced security, the app supports username and password authentication with the camera.
The app works with AXIS (TM) cameras that support the HTTP API interface. Tested with the 207 series.
Features include:
- Display the actual camera still image or video (MJPEG - only available over WiFi connection)
- Switch camera event notification (alarm) on and off
- Support for authentication via username and password
- Designed for iPhone, but as a universal app it can also be used full-screen with the iPad
- Supports portrait and landscape formats
- Zooming of the images
The FULL version additionally has the following features:
- Push notifications when an alarm is triggered (optional), playing a sound and/or triggering device vibration
- Select from different sounds used for notification
- Support SSL encryption with the camera
- All network traffic will be encrypted (if you use SSL)
Currently only available in English.
