Application Description
“Waste Less” is a mobile app developed by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Its primary function is to show nearby recyclable collection points via a map on your device, with details, including photos, address, recyclable types, opening hours, etc.
* This version (Version 1.0.1) covers about 4,000 sets of waste separation bins managed by various Hong Kong government departments.
Besides, “Waste Less” has the following functions:
-“Search” function to find the most suitable recyclable collection point;
-“My Recycling Diary” to record your daily recycling efforts;
-“Knowledge” about good waste reduction and recovery practices;
-“News” broadcasts news about waste management, reduction and recovery in Hong Kong; and
-“Share” functions to share the contents of this app.
