Application Description
This app enables you to measure the speed of your washing machine in spinning phase.It calculates the speed of the drum from 400 rpm ( round per minute ) till 1600 rpm(or maximum speed allowed by your washing machine).
The algorithm is very precise, precision at 1600 rpm is lower than 1 %.This app makes a strong use of Iphone triaxal accelerometer and accurate analysis of data entering in Iphone.The algoritm use the theory of fft (Fast Fourier Transform) from which is possible to discover the main component of vibration and therefore the speed
of the drum rotation of washing machine. The app has been developed for the measuring of speed of washing machine, but it could be used for other home appliances or other machines where the component of vibration is dominant.
