Welcome to our historical walking tours "Walk the History - Hawke's Bay" and our three pre-1931 earthquake tours available.

Walk the Ahuriri coastline and Napier's Marine Parade tours of yesterday's history and see the pictorial past and present.

Three unique history tours are all included on the one app -
Napier Earthquake 1931
Napier - Point to Port (1 hour return)
Napier Marine Parade (2 hours return)
Each tour looks at the history and points of interest along Napier's coastline from the early 1800's and prior to the 1931 earthquake. The history behind the locations, architecture and significant attractions are uncovered. The area was just beginning to establish itself as the salt water swamps, shallow harbour and distance from the main centres made access and settlement challenging.
Visitors may view the tour as they walk along the Boardwalk and see historical photographs and images of the time.
The tour may be taken at any location point and viewers can select the various locations as they wish. Enjoy!
