Application Description
“Wake Me There” will wake you up at the exact location that you choose with the music that you love, regardless of the distance or the time it takes to get there.
“Wake Me There” will alert you at the exact location that you choose and will automatically dial a number for you at the same time.
If you are traveling on a bus or on a train and you tend to sleep during the trip, you do not need to worry anymore that you will miss your stop, all you need to do is turn on “Wake Me There” and go to sleep. A few minutes before you reach your destination, “Wake Me There” will wake you up to the sound of the music that you love.
if you are a driver that needs to be alerted when you get to some specific place, or need to make a phone call, or send an SMS when you get there, Wake Me There will do it for you.
“Wake Me There” is location based music player and alarm clock, this means that you do not need to fix a time to wake up and you do not need to hear sounds that are not pleasant to you when you wake up, you can be woken based on your location and you can choose the exact music or sound you like to hear when you wake up.
More than that, as a music player, “Wake Me There” can play your selected music before you fall asleep. As you fall asleep, it will gradually lower the volume of the music to the level that you like, or it can make it totally silent.
“Wake Me There” uses Location Services that are part of your iPhone. You do not need to have GPS but you must make sure that your iPhone can detect its location by using the mobile phone infrastructure.
To assist you in selecting your destinations and keep the history of your trips, “Wake Me There” uses GeoNames Web Services (http://www.geonames.org) for searching locations online using free text, and Google Maps to see the location on the map.
Starting from version 1.1, you do not need to look for destinations directly on the map, now you can query for locations using Street, city, country or any free text, in response you get a list of places that match you criteria. Using Google maps, you can verify a location on the map, and if this is the location you are looking for, you just tap it to select as a destination for the trip.
“Wake Me There” is designed to conserve your battery, the use of the GPS or any Location Services hardware is limited to a very small part of the entire trip. For example, in a 100 miles trip at an average speed of 60 miles per hour, the GPS or Location Services will be activated for about 2-4 minutes.
“Wake Me There” is fully configurable; it enables you to define different profiles for different trips. For each trip/profile you can define the following:
* Phone number to be automatically dialed when you reach your destination.
* SMS text and phone number to be sent when you reach your destination.
* Music/Playlist to hear while falling asleep.
* Volume of music while asleep.
* How long to wait before lowering the volume to “Sleep Volume”.
* Music/Playlist to hear for Wake Up.
* How long before arrival, to start waking you up.
* How far from destination, to start waking you up.
* Vibrate on Wake Up (or not).
* The maximum volume to use on Wake Up.
* Maximum Sleep Time , in case the trip takes to long and you do not want to sleep too much.
All trips are kept, so when you do the same trip again, you just need to turn it on, (you do not need to enter the details again)
