VRS - Vehicle Recovery Software
VRS is used to calculate towing values for mired vehicles by selecting a casualty vehicle and recovery vehicle and the possibility of modifying attributes of either:
The selection of Casualty Vehicle includes:
A specific casualty vehicle group will filter vehicle list by type
A representative pictures of vehicle will be shown
The number of damaged carriages (wheels or tracks) can be selected
Damaged carriage resistance is automatically calculated and displayed.
The selection of the recovery vehicle includes:
A representative picture of recovery vehicles in a list
The number of winches used in a recovery operation can be selected, if vehicle has more than one winch
The recovery surface can be selected from a list of pictures from different types of surfaces
The surface factor may be overridden
The sloe can be manually entered or determined by the SlopeFinder(tm)
The slope finder displays slope in Degrees or Percent
An "Other track or wheel vehicle" may be selected and values can be entered for customized recovery scenarios.
The following values will be calculated:
Rolling Resistance
Gradient Resistance
Damage Resistance
Safety factor
End to End rollover
Side to Side rollover
Total pull required
Mechanical advantage required
Mechanical advantage tackle block layout diagrams can be viewed for the calculated mechanical advantage
If the recovery vehicle limits have been exceeded, the calculator informs the user visually and the device will vibrate (if the device has vibrate capability)
Reference tables are included for confirming details.
All the casualty and recovery details, including any override values entered, and the results can be texted or emailed.
User can change relevant options for the calculator via the options dialog
