Virginia Student Learning Application Manager is a web-based application meant to be used with Apple® mobile devices. The goal of Virginia S.L.A.M. is to enhance the awareness of both the performance of elementary school students in Virginia and the practicality of mobile applications as supplements to standard education. Virginia S.L.A.M. acts as a gateway to allow educators, parents, or even the students to check past and current school accomplishment and to find educational Apple® applications that are relevant to current topic being taught to help improve performance. Using the data gathered from the Virginia Longitudinal Data System, percentiles of subject exam scores of schools can be analyzed by educators and parents while anyone can use Virginia S.L.A.M. to find educational applications.
