Vegas Style uses clothing to explore the development of Las Vegas as an in-ternational destination for entertainment and leisure. Opening on November 16, 2012 at the Nevada State Museum Las Vegas and running through June 2013, this exhibition is research, curated, and installed by the students of the Public History Program at UNLV. Vegas Style features 15 historic costumes that speak to Sin City’s most iconic experiences. Visitors will come face-to-face with a feathered headdress worn in Bally’s legendary Jubilee!, a rhinestone-encrusted piano played by Liberace, and the deceptively simple suits worn by Rio headliners, Penn & Teller.
