We can unzip "*.zip" files from Mail app on the iPad, it's really easy: (as screenshots)
1. Open in "Unzip" from Mail app.
2. Manage files via iTunes.
*** IF YOU CANNOT SEE THE POPOVER MENU IN MAIL APP, PLEASE DELETE AND REINSTALL OUR UNZIP APP, WE BELIEVE THIS IS AN IOS BUG ***

Unzip the mail attachments with zip format and preview them via our app.
