Unibookworm is where students can sell their unwanted books, buy books more cheaply, or swap books for university. When you’ve finished with your books from university, simply use the ISBN feature to upload the details of your book and Unibookworm will enter the book onto it’s database. You will need to upload the photo separately, using the camera button. If the ISBN is not recognised, then simply enter the details manually.

If you’re searching for a book all you need to do is type in a keyword, title, author or ISBN number and the database will show all the matches. If there’s no match, you can enter the details into the Wanted section, which every seller can check before posting their book onto the database.

Students from universities in the UK only, create a profile page which includes their email, university they’re attending and course they’re studying. Then they can contact each other via secure messages.

You can use the 'other info' button in the 'Sell' screen to insert information such as the price of the book. Students can then arrange payment and delivery between themselves. (Unibookworm does not deal with any payments). Once the seller has received payment for their book they can show the book as 'Sold'.

An easy way to pay for and take payment for books, is to use Barclays Pingit.

Barclays Pingit is the new service from Barclays that allows you to send money using just your mobile phone number. You don't have to bank with Barclays to use the service.
For full details on how the service works and to download the app, please visit www.barclays.co.uk/pingit. Or you can download the app from the Settings page in Unibookworm, by clicking the Pingit icon.

We welcome any feedback that can help us make the app even better.

When entering the ISBN there is no need to enter the hyphens.

If you’re looking for up-to-date text books used for subjects which regularly change, this app may not be of use to you.

We have tried to include every college and university in the UK but if we missed one, please contact us to let us know so we can add it to the list. In the meantime, just choose 'Other'. If you've left university, please select 'Post Graduate'.

If there is anything that you are unsure about, please check our 'User Guide' first, (accessible from the Home screen via the pink 'clip board' icon), before contacting us.
