Application Description
A highlighter is all it takes to mark out your favorite lines in a book. What about video?
Uberlit is an absolutely new way to express yourself using the videos that you like. Easily identify scenes and items inside your video and share your creation with the world to interact with.
Advanced users can add interactivity to the video as well by adding contextual email, SMS and web links.
Become a source of cliff notes / scoops / insight around video, to your friends.
Uberlit has 2 main views - a scrolling Feed and a View/Create screen. There are a few things you can do in the latter:
Playback: When an uberlit is loaded sufficiently, it autoplays, and soon after you may see the spotlight (if the creator enabled it). Tap the video anywhere to bring up contextual menu on the video. Here you can socially interact, and also respond to the action set by the creator.
Create: The 'New' button on top brings up media import tools. When the media is loaded, toggle the Edit icon to green (active) in color, skip the video to your favorite frame and Hold - Swipe - Release. For example you may follow a moving car, or a non moving painting. When you release the swipe, input tools pop up where you enter metadata and set rules. One step later, you'd have published your uberlit.
Share: Like an uberlit? Simply share on Facebook, Twitter. Use the 'Copy' tool and paste the unique uberlit URL in other social/chat apps like WhatsApp.
