The 2013 truTV™ interactive Holiday Card app features three (3) animated gingerbread people enjoying the holidays from the comfort of their couch and navigating through truTV programming only to come upon a special holiday greeting from the casts of the network's hit shows, including Guinness World Records Unleashed, Lizard Lick Towing, Hardcore Pawn, South Beach tow, Killer Karaoke, Full Throttle Saloon and Impractical Jokers. Also included with this app is a photo booth feature providing 8 holiday themed assets that the user can share to Facebook, Twitter and email. Our 2013 holiday card app with the Merchlar designed augmented reality (AR) feature, is a gift to be unwrapped once you download the app. This card is sure to unleash some fun content for all.

The TruTV Holiday Card mobile app uses augmented reality technology.

Here is how to use the augmented reality :
1- Open or download the Holiday card Target image can be found here. http://merchlar.com/work/trutvholiday/target/
2- Download the mobile app on your iPhone, iPad or iPad mini.
3- Launch the app.
4- The app will automatically launch a menu.
5- The augmented reality feature leads the user to a simple camera view.
5- A pop-up informs the user on how to get the Holiday card.
6- The other feature is the Photobooth. It can be accessed via the menu.
7- When launched, the Photobooth featured allows the user to take pictures of themselves and add thematic elements.
The use of augmented reality to complement print is new and appealing. The TruTV team presents its clients with an interactive Holiday card, which will be much more appealing than a regular one. We developed this app in the hope that people find it user-friendly and amusing..
