A bit about triAthlone.
triAthlone has existed since 2006 and is run by volunteers from athlone and clubs around Ireland.
It was setup originally to prepare Ireland and Athlone to host the 2010 European triathlon championships. This event, with over 4000 participants from around Ireland & Europe, was one of the largest participation events ever held in the country and the largest international championship event held in Ireland since the special Olympics.
