TrafficJot is an app that allows people to check or report real time road conditions such as: traffic jams ,construction, lane reductions , accidents, etc.
Traffic can be a great source of frustration for many commuters: Traffic Jams due to accidents, lane reductions, construction... Sometimes you tell yourself: "If I only knew about the traffic conditions on this road, I could have taken an alternative route and saved time". TrafficJot was designed to answer this need for information and help make the commute time as short and as "painless" as possible.

TrafficJot is based on information submitted by people just like you. You witness an accident, you are stuck in traffic or there is construction on the road - TrafficJot is the right place to let other people know about it. Creating a TrafficJot alert is quick and intuitive, as easy as, well... jotting a line.
By posting traffic updates, users can share the information and make it accessible for all for absolutely FREE. The traffic reports, submitted by you, are immediately reflected on the map for everyone to see.
This is how it works, in a few simple steps:
•You witness the traffic jam. You want to let other people to avoid it.
•You open the TrafficJot app and create a traffic alert.
•TrafficJot.com stores and processes submitted information, and then graphically displays it on a map.
•People check TrafficJot app and know to avoid the area you have marked, making the jam disappear.
•People save time by not being stuck in traffic.
•Next time, you are the one that saves time!
Traffic reports can be updated, not only by the user who posted the update but by other users. This helps keep existing traffic reports up to date. Each traffic report has a ranking system to determine its reliability.

When you are a registered user, every time you submit or edit a traffic alert you will be rewarded with 10 TrafficJot credits. In the future as we bring sponsors aboard, the credits you collect will become redeemable for the goods and services provided by the sponsors.
