For lost or stolen tools, ToolsTag provides a quick and simple way to get the information out to the web using an automatically generated lost or stolen tool web page, posts details to Facebook and Twitter and also provides you with the ability to send details to your email and phone contacts.

Getting detailed information out quickly in a format that is easily and widely accessible helps prevent tool resale and provides a simple way for others to pass along any information to help you recover your tools.

The lost or stolen web page has been designed so that if anybody searches the web for your tool using the serial number or other tool details chances are they will be pointed at the lost or stolen web page and have the opportunity to send you information that might help you recover your tool.

For each tool, the tool register provides the ability to take three photos. One of the tool, the serial plate and a proof of ownership such as a receipt. Along with the photos you can also record additional information such as the tool type, make, model and serial number.

You can also attach a unique QR Code tag to your tools. This provides a quick link to your tool information and anybody with the ToolsTag app can scan the QR Code and quickly determine who owns the tool and if it has been reported lost or stolen.
