TOMBSTONE v1.0 is a darkly fun and mischievous little app that calculates how many days you have left to live!
On the surface, a slightly troubling little piece of information, but actually TOMBSTONE is designed to inspire us and remind the user to savor and cherish each and every day available as the remarkable and unique gift it is!
Based on an above average lifespan of 80 years, TOMBSTONE assumes that you will live a long happy life and calculates your remaining days from the current date based on the user supplying their birth date.
We all know, more or less, about how many years we have left and knowing how many “seconds” would not really supply any broader perspective because we don’t live our lives “second by second”. By displaying results in “DAYS”, TOMBSTONE gets right down to how people really live their lives, that’s DAY BY DAY!
The idea is that on occasion, when the spirit moves you, you open TOMBSTONE and have a look at how many or how few days you have left to enjoy this wonderful world of ours! Far from being a morbid reminder of our mortality, TOMBSTONE is a “Meditation on Life” and a fun way to remind us just what a rare commodity our days really are!
In a slightly mischievous way, TOMBSTONE is a celebration of life and a fun way to remind us to live it to the fullest!
With great graphics, a funny little “Tick-Tock” soundtrack and a cheeky “fun–to-use” interface, featuring the Tombstone mascot; “Skullie”, TOMBSTONE is a thought provoking, tongue-in-cheek app, that will delight and inspire you every time you use it.
But wait, unlike other Death Clocks, Tombstone features our unique “Thought for the Day”! Each time you use Tombstone, which can be as often as you like, you receive a new “Thought”, each one surprisingly appropriate to the situation. Tombstone is not only a great way to remind us how important each and every day is but also a fun way to see if “Skullie” knows what you are thinking at any given moment. You’ll be surprised at how intuitive and timely he can be!
