Tipsi is a brand new wine app made for the rest of us. Created for the casual consumer versus the wine expert, Tipsi takes the frustration and confusion out of ordering wine. Conceived as a mobile sommelier at restaurants, Tipsi provides PERSONALIZED and RESTAURANT SPECIFIC recommendations based on the actual available wine list. Diners can order wine confidently and intelligently based on their specific taste preferences as well as find the perfect pairings based on their desired meal type. The more wines users try the more personalized the recommendations become.
Focused initially in New York City, Tipsi has 300+ restaurant wine lists processed representing thousands of wines. When wine lists are not yet available at a specific restaurant, users can take a picture through the application and the Tipsi team will process it so it will be available for the next diner.
Additionally, Tipsi allows users to connect with their friends through Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare to rate, post, and share reviews of wines and meals locally. Friends can see what and where their friends are eating and drinking as well as follow wine experts to learn more about wine in a relevant and casual environment. Wines can be tracked and saved down into a user’s digital cellar and saved into their wish list so that users and friends can recall wines they have discovered while out.
