TiMote allows you to control your TiVo® Series 3 DVR with your iPhone or iPod Touch.

As it uses short, raw commands over the local WiFi network, it is very fast — it allows for the benefits of a long-range RF remote with the speed of a standard point-and-aim IR remote. Furthermore, it costs less than either of those and adds features that are only possible on a device like the iPhone, along with an obsessively-thought-out, easy-to-use user interface.
