Application Description
Thermal expansion and contraction (negative expansion) must be considered when designing structures and industrial equipment to avoid structural damage or equipment malfunction due to temperature variations.
This App allows user to quickly calculate linear or volumetric thermal expansion based on initial dimension, start temperature and final temperature. Through a graphical picker, you can optionally select a material from a list of commonly used engineering materials to obtain typical thermal expansion coefficient.
User can conveniently choose preferred input and output units directly besides each input box and on the result panel.
