That in essence is the idea behind The Gift of Laughter. Watching someone laugh always demands a like response.
This series of laughs came from a very personal setback. Sitting in a hospital room recovering from a heart attack it became clear to me that I needed some cheering up.
I began reading the theories concerning the healing power of laughter by writers like Norman Cousins.
His personal experience in healing his own illness through laughter inspired me to create a tool that anyone can use to incite laughter and in turn to stimulate the very chemicals in our own bodies that fight illness. Those chemicals also leave us with a feeling of well-being.
Since his own personal experiment, the value of laughter as therapy has been well examined and well documented.
Over a period of several months I recorded people laughing. Laughing authentically and laughing with their own style.
This has been a very therapeutic experience for me and I hope it has the same effect on you and those you love.
The original DVD video program has been used by members of the "World Laughter Tour" by certified laughter leaders for their laughter training and laughter clubs. The program has also been used by health professionals in schools, senior centers and hospitals.
IT'S SO EASY TO USE:
Simply choose an individual from the thumbnail images and be prepared to smile, chuckle and perhaps even laugh out loud.
