Created by one of Australia’s most experienced powerboating editorial teams, The Boat Mag (TBM) is the upgraded magazine derived from the 20 year old Australian Fisherman and Boatowner (“F&B”) magazine. It was re-born in 2012 to embrace online production and a significantly changed editorial focus.
Whilst sustaining F&B’s core, ‘hands-on’ and passionately independent values, The Boat Mag has a wider, more diverse editorial base reflecting the drastically changed Australian way of boating since the GFC.
The Boat Mag works even more closely with Australia’s unique plate aluminium boatbuilding sector (for recreational and commercial craft) and sustains the major commitment F&B has always had with Australia’s other unique boatbuilding field of expertise, the powered catamaran sector.
TBM published regular tests, features and Consumer Surveys of these two major areas of domestic and international boating interest. Additionally, it works closely with the international outboard and inboard engine manufacturers, and together with its coverage of fibreglass boats, and the perennial Aussie ‘tinnie’ market, The Boat Mag provides an extremely comprehensive and accurate coverage of recreational boating in Australia, circa 2013.
