This premium version of the Texas Historical Landmarks app gives you access to historical information about 14,000+ beloved state relics. In addition to a standard database of all these landmarks, the app offers you the following:

• The homepage features a random landmark every time you open the app. Click the “Explore another marker” button at the bottom to load another one! In addition to historical anecdotes, viewing the detailed info of these landmark pages allows you to see the year they were dedicated to historic preservation, exactly how far away you are from them (in miles), and more

• Get a whole new perspective on Texas landmarks by using the “Map” feature. It zooms out far enough for you to see the whole state and drops pins on all 14,000+ landmarks. It really shows you just how rich Texas is with history!

• Filter landmarks by the county they’re in or category they belong to, including Agriculture, Outlaws, Railroads, and many more. There’s also a search feature for you to find exactly the landmark you’re looking for as quickly and efficiently as possible

• When you visit one of these landmarks, you can “check in” there and start a running list of all the places you’ve been to. You’ll also get “points” with each check-in. Are you big on traveling? See how many points you can rack up!

• Make your own photo album by adding your own pictures of each landmark (locally stored; not shared with others)

• You can also engage with other users by leaving comments about the landmarks for others to see. Additionally, there’s a place for you to store your own personal notes about each site

• Create a wishlist of the places you haven’t yet been to but would like to visit, or add your most cherished places to your Favorites list

• Share each marker page with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, email, or text message right from the app

• Toggle your settings to receive notifications whenever you’re near a landmark
