The Teloglion Foundation of Art was founded in 1972 with the donation of the art collection along with the entire fortune of Nestor and Alice Teloglou at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Its main objectives are the systematic promotion of art to the general public, the recording and study of cultural heritage, the cultivation of a collaborative spirit among art scholars, and finally the contact of children with art through appropriate educational programs. Its collection includes numerous exhibits from numerous civilisations (e.g., Hellenistic Art, Middle-East Art, Chinese Art, Thai Art) along with various works of art of modern Green and European artists from the 19th and 20th century.

The Teloglion application aims to guide the visitor through the museum via an interactive map. Using the application, a visitor can:


1. Explore the map of the museum and ask for directions across its areas (e.g., thematic rooms, gift-shop, elevator, stairs, etc.).
2. Focus and explore the exhibits of a certain area.
3. View detailed information and related multimedia content for an exhibit / showcase.

Additionally, a visitor is always able to scan a nearby QR code to get more details about the exhibit that corresponds to it.
