Install TeleView on a pair of your iOS devices and remotely control the cameras on one via the other using Bluetooth or your local WiFi. Simply select the "Camera" role for one device and the "Receiver" role on the other and control and see what the Camera sees from a distance.

TeleView's "Shoot" option instructs the Camera to take images as quickly as possible and send them to the Receiver for you to see.

Its "Interval" option lets you take time-lapse images.

Its "Motion" option examines the previous and current images and if the level of movement exceeds an adjustable tolerance then the Receiver plays a tone and saves the image into its camera roll for you to review at your convenience.

Take perfect selfies using the Receiver to frame you and your friends and then send the Camera a command to take and save a high-resolution image.
